Art journal / treasure book in grungy / vintage style.

I painted a mixed media face on the cover of an old dictionary(1959) which I first covered with the collaged old dictionary pages.

The book has 3 signatures bound with C-lon micro cord and gold and silver beads, and paper beads I made of the dictionary pages on the outside of the spine.

A total of 168 pages for countless opportunities for journaling, collaging, painting, drawing or embellishing..

I used watercolor paper, tan colored mixed media paper, brown & black drawing paper, and vintage paper. 3 old dictionary book pages, pink and red card stock with linen texture. 3 vintage book pages from a botanical book from 1946. Vintage writing paper. I made my own spiral paper clips to hold tags and envelopes with a vintage lace detail on the closure, ephemera like pages of on old psalm book from 1930, and dried leaves. It has 3 bookmarks with beads, feather and coin dangles. The closure is made with black lace.

Dimensions: Around 20 cm (8“) high, 13 cm (5“) wide, and 4 cm (1.6“) spine.
