March 2018 I lost an important person in my life. Coping with the pain of grieving, it felt as if the world has lost its colors and my life was covered by a thick veil of sadness. The nudes represent my struggle to see the beauty of life again and trying to dissolve the veil.
The nudes are sketched with charcoal and painted in black and white on a lace-like texture. The lace-like texture is highlighted with silver paint.
